The Greater La Porte Economic Development Corporation
(GLEDC) was formed in 2001 to provide La Porte County with a “One Stop Shop” for all business needs.  In 2010 GLEDC signed a joint partnership with the Michigan City Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC) to service all of La Porte County as the La Porte County Economic Development Alliance.  GLEDC and the Alliance provide prospect development, project development, project coordination, and retention & expansion services for all of La Porte County.
